Dr. Jeffrey Roberts holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and a Doctor of Chiropratic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He has been in practice since 1979. Dr. Roberts founded and directed the Monadnock Clinic in Jaffrey, NH until 1996, at which time he moved his practice to Peterborough, NH.
Dr. Roberts offers many different holistic health care services and techniques. He believes in the relationship between the mind, body and spirit and tries to help his patients find balance in each of these realms. Available services include chiropractic, craniosacral therapy, polarity therapy, nutritional counseling, stress management, relaxation techniques and many others. Dr. Roberts will try to find the perfect individualized approach for each patient to obtain optimum health and happiness. Barbara Lee-Roberts, Licensed Massage Therapist and graduate of the New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts has taught various courses at the New Hampshire Institute including: Anatomy & Physiology II, Neurology, Hydrotherapy, Oriental Medicine, Polarity Therapy, Sports Medicine, Kinesiology and Massage Technique courses. Other courses are taught in Massage Technique Theory and Bio-mechanics to other health professionals in the states of CT, AZ, NV, MA, and SC.
Barbara is the Senior Associate Research Director of the Clinic as well as a Chiropractic Assistant for Dr. Roberts. Barbara is also a Polarity Therapist and a Certified Reiki Practioner. She has training in advanced Sports Medicine Muscular Therapy and Auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture) from the Holder Research Institute. Barbara is Nationally Certified and an active AMTA professional member for the last 13 years. Therapeutic Massage is an age-old remedy which has proven to be an effective compliment to chiropractic care.
Both are holistic in nature, and are based on belief in the innate healing power of the body. Together, chiropractic and massage facilitate the natural healing process by keeping the body in proper alignment and ensuring a free flow of nerve impulses and circulation of fluids. Problems in the musculo-skeletal system can impede the natural healing process, and often cause dysfunction and pain. Most chiropractic doctors would agree that it is important to treat soft tissues such as muscle and tendons to help prevent and correct subluxations, and lessen the accompanying pain.
